Ryan Badstuber is a former football player with New Amsterdam United of North Antarctica who joined the Cibolan Volunteer Corps after his club went belly-up following the demise of North Antarctica. Badstuber was born in Davignon, Batavia but also spent part of his life in Jingdao while his homeland went through dark times. He joined the volunteer corps in V.1687 because he hoped to start a new career in agriculture in Cibola. His dream is to become a peanut farmer. Badstuber's enrollment with the Cibolan Volunteer Corps was used by the corps' recruiters as a selling point. In XV.1687 Badstuber's portrait was used in an advertisement campaign by spicy peanut sauce manufacturer Yixing Satay.
