The Admirable The Lord Willem Antonius des Vinandy, Lord in Gascony, Knight of the Holy Lakes son of Their Illustriousnesses the Lord Hendrik Leopold des Vinandy and Elena de Aragon, Prince and Princess of Vinandy, Duke and Duchess of Gascony, Knight and Lady of the Holy Lakes [Lord Willem]

and

Sirithil, the Lady Laegel, daughter of the Lady Aliande, the Lady Laegel, Senator of the Lakes, and the late Lord Isor Nebuchadnezzarion Verion, Senator of the Lakes [Lady Laegel]

  1. Lord Willem and the Lady Laegel have today joined each other in marriage, according to the rites of the Holy Lakes, on Cashma Island.
  2. Lord Willem and the Lady Laegel declare that whatever they own prior to their marriage, and whatever they should inherit or be gifted individually as time goes by, is their individual property. Whatever they acquire jointly from their marriage and onwards is their joint property. If their marriage is dissolved by other reason than death, then the joint property is split in half, becoming the individual properties of Lord Willem and the Lady Laegel.
  3. Any daughters born in the union shall carry the surname of Laegel, and any sons born into the union shall carry the surname des Vinandy.
  4. Marriage is dissolved by the death of one of the parties to it. It may also be otherwise dissolved by mutual agreement and solemnization of the same according to the rites of the Holy Lakes. If one party seeks dissolution of the marriage and the other party does not agree, then they shall seek mediation with the Senate of the Lakes for six Norton years, and if they cannot find agreement, and one party still wishes for dissolution of the marriage, the marriage will be dissolved three Norton years later. In the event of dissolution of marriage, while there are still children without adult capacity in it, the parties declare that any sons be under the custody of Lord Willem and any daughters under the custody of the Lady Laegel.

Done at Cashma Island this fifth day of the eighth month of the year one thousand and seven hundred and twenty-three.
