After dreadful scenes during the War of lost brothers, much damage was caused. Roads were plagued with landmines and agriculture was destroyed. Many survivors were left homeless and food and other essentials were in short supply. After all this devastation, with the help of neighbouring Jingdao, infrastructure will be rebuilt or replaced. Two new airports are to open in St Anne and Blackcaster.
