The Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between the Anahuaco Empire and the Federation of Nouvelle Alexandrie is a proposed Treaty between Anahuaco and Nouvelle Alexandrie proposed in 1722 AN. The Treaty would build a closer relationship between the two neighboring Keltian nations and Raspur Pact partners, including cultural and economic ties.

The Treaty was proposed by Secretary of State Maximinus Kerularios in 1722 AN, quickly earning the approval of the Council of State of Nouvelle Alexandrie to propose and consider. The Treaty is the culmination of several rounds of diplomatic talks between the governments of both nations.

TREATY OF FRIENDSHIP AND COOPERATION

BETWEEN

THE ANAHUACO EMPIRE

AND

THE FEDERATION OF NOUVELLE ALEXANDRIE

desire for a diplomatic relationship and good understanding between them, underpinning further friendship between their respective countries, have agreed to the following articles of agreement:

Article I – Peace and friendship

  1. The treaty establishes a firm and perpetual state of peace and friendly relations between the Anahuaco Empire and the Federation of Nouvelle Alexandrie. It encompasses their respective leaders, successors, and citizens, without discrimination.

Article II - Sovereignty and territorial integrity

  1. Each party pledges to respect the independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of the other. They commit to developing and strengthening sincere friendship, good neighborliness, and comprehensive cooperation based on principles of equality and mutual benefit.

Article III - Airspace

  1. The parties agree that overflight of their airspace by aircraft registered in the other party's territory, without intermediate landing, shall not be subject to customs or immigration regulations or the jurisdiction of third parties. The overflight approval is at the discretion of the overflown party.
  2. Prohibited airspace may be established by either party, strictly prohibiting overflight. The parties must inform each other about such airspace, and appropriate punitive measures may be taken against aircraft registered in the other party's territory.

Article IV – Diplomatic mission

  1. The parties commit to maintaining regular contacts on major international issues through meetings, exchanges of views between leading statesmen, official visits, and diplomatic channels.
  2. Each party shall provide an embassy to the other, including associated grounds, vehicles, and diplomatic immunity. Ambassadors and official delegations shall enjoy diplomatic immunity. The recognition and acceptance of ambassadors shall follow established procedures.

Article V - Recognition of bureaucracy

  1. Each party grants full faith and credit to public acts, records, contracts, and judicial proceedings in civil law matters, including those related to marriage, property, titles, death, and inheritance, provided they are conducted in accordance with the law.

Article VI - Cultural Exchange

  1. The High Contracting Parties recognize the importance of cultural exchange in fostering mutual understanding and friendship between their nations. They shall promote initiatives and opportunities for cultural exchange, particularly in the field of language and arts. As both nations share a common language, Martino, they shall encourage language programs, joint research projects, and cultural events to enhance linguistic and cultural ties.

Article VII - Military Cooperation

  1. The High Contracting Parties acknowledge the importance of maintaining regional stability and security. The High Contracting Parties shall engage in military cooperation, provide assistance, including the sale of weapons and military equipment, in their efforts to maintain peace and order in the region.

Article VIII - Implementation and Review

  1. The High Contracting Parties shall oversee the implementation of this treaty and to periodically review its effectiveness. The High Contracting Parties shall meet regularly to discuss and address any issues that may arise, ensuring the smooth execution of the provisions outlined in this treaty.

Article IX - Interpretation

  1. Any difference of interpretation of any Article or Articles of this Treaty which may arise between the High Contracting Parties will be settled bilaterally by peaceful means in a spirit of mutual respect and understanding.

Article X - Ratification

  1. This Treaty enters into force upon its signature and ratification by Both High Contracting Parties in accordance with their respective domestic procedures.
