The Long March West (officially known as Operation Return Fire) was an effort by the Palesmenian Defense Force to drive back Lákarpa bandits and raiders from the areas near the western border of Palesmenia. This came after a notable uptick in border skirmishes in the area.


Timeline

5-21-19

  • 9:07: Lákarpa Terrorist Attack in a Súrajh Market takes lives 17 people after hand grenade rips through crowd.
  • 16:41: One of the perpetrator, under the alias "Célinbehír", reported shot by National Guard and another perpetrator, under the alias "Cálibákr" is found in a shipping warehouse in suburb of Sébendar, 12 km outside of the city.

5-22-19

  • 5:05: "Cálibákr", after hours of interrogation, tells authorities of the nature of the attacks, telling them that a Lákarpa backed coup is planned for June 1st.
  • 8:28: News of the coup reaches the Nadcraši. Talks of a counter-offensive begin.
  • 17:58: After hours of talks, a counter-offensive with the goal of driving the Lákarpa back to the former Uantiri city of Celenia is put in place for the next day with a vote of 230-70.

5-23-19

  • 0:02: PDF troops cross the western border in the provinces of Litorál and Amur into the green.

  • 5:17: First PDF fatality reported 40km from the Amurian border

5-24-19

  • 10:00: First motorized divisions arrive to aid the offensive.

5-25-19

  • 12:09: PDF troops report reaching the ruins of Celenia
  • 20:15: Permission is granted from PDF High Command in Ábbad to use heavy weapons on the now fortified positions in Celenia.

5-26-19

  • 19:10: Troops reach the former Uantiri site known as the "Royal Academy", which troops reported as a town "had The Burning Path go through it" Troops also report seeing the Juclandian city "Flograd" within their sites, although no Lákarpa activity was reported within that area.
  • 22:11: Troops advance into Eastern Portions of Celenia.

5-27-19

  • 7:18: Former City Hall of Celenia captured and fortified
  • 12:00: Artillery Strike in Royal Academy claims the lives of (reportedly) 15 Lákarpa Soldiers.
  • 14:56: Helicopter attacks begin in Western Celenia
  • 19:24: Helicopter attacks end, no PDF fatalities reported.

5-29-19

15:32: Major Lákarpa resistance in Eastern Celenia put down by PDF, reported 25 deaths

5-30-19

12:00 Both sides begin digging trenches, Commandant Ajúka Béghy reports "This is going to become a Long March West" to Central Command Ábbad.

6-1-19

  • 14:58: Sporadic rocket attacks by PDF on Celenia begin.
  • 17:06: Attacks reported to end. Severe infrastructure damaged observed

6-2-19

  • 0:12: Corpral Andú-Bíye reports Lákarpa batteries in the hills of West R.A.[1]
  • 3:14 Lákarpa arms storehouse seized by PDF squad, reported 20 men taken prisoner

  • 8:14: Intense bombing of Celenia begins
  • 13:01: Palesmenian Navy blockades R.A., begins naval bombing campaign

6-8-19

  • 7:41: Lákarpa Suicide Bombing in Súrajh kills 12.
  • 10:06: Morning Edition of Mánázar Súyobad criticizes the unnecessary loss of life during the war, the journalist who wrote the article, Ljú Baghí, is soon arrested.

6-10-19

  • 18:18: Carpet Bombing of R.A. by Air Force bombers.

6-13-19

  • 10:08: Lákarpa bombing raids on East Celenia claim the lives of 16 PDF troops
  • 19:58: Lákarpa Field Marshall Láz Bi'yüma is captured and extradited to Ábbad for trial

6-17-19

  • 13:46: After hours of relentless bombing, Lkarpa lines in West Celenia collapse, most forces become overrun. 418 P.O.Ws reported
  • 17:00: PDF declares Celenia as liberated territory

6-18-19

  • 16:48: Protests in Ábbad over the loss of life and the lack of necessity in the war. Police disperse the protesters by 18:00.
  • 19:06: Artillery barrage on Lákarpa areas of R.A.

6-20-19

  • 8:08: Lákarpa forces in R.A. surrender
  • 12:00: Celenia is set ablaze and looted
  • 13:23: Lákarpa General Chíne Bziné is found dead of a gunshot wound in R.A. Forces believe he was killed in relation of a mutiny of retreating forces

6-21-19

  • 9:22: Lákarpa General Vün Viki'te surrenders to PDF forces, Ábbad command declares war is over
