THE PEOPLE’S AGENDA

The Social Democratic and Liberal Alliance is committed to the following policies for the next term:

  • Defense Policy:
  • Education Policy:
    • Establish free public transport tickets for students.
    • Build more schools and hire more teachers.
    • Provide Regions with more funding for adequate facilities and improvements to existing schools.
  • Labor Policy:
    • Pass the Trade Union Act.
    • Implement basic workplace safety rules and regulations.
    • Provide Regions with funding to establish regional vocational schools to help train and retrain workers to meet local economic needs.
  • Economic Policy:
    • Work with stakeholders and unions to eliminate supply chain problems.
    • Institute a wealth tax.
    • Cut taxes on small businesses.
    • Nationalization of all rail in Nouvelle Alexandrie and create NAX Railways.
  • Constitutional reform:
    • Eliminate the Chamber of Peers.
    • Expand constitutional freedoms such a right to collective bargaining, peaceful assembly, voting, and other basic liberties.
    • Hold midterm elections for half of the Federal Assembly in the midway point of every legislative session.
  • Housing:
    • Establish a social housing program funded by the federal government but managed by Regions.
    • Streamline and facilitate permitting for housing construction.
    • Establish a uniform code of housing construction and safety for Nouvelle Alexandrie.
    • Provide funding to Regions for programs that will boost residential construction.
  • Social:
    • Legalize abortion and institute policies that keep it safe, and legal.
    • Enact anti-discrimination statutes to ensure all citizens can live a dignified life in their own nation.
