The Sanpantul Maritime Self-Defense Force, also known as SMSDF (Sanpogo: 海自 Kaiji) in the local language, is the navy branch of Sanpantul. It was founded on 1 Liebruary 1674, about a year before the nation officially became a member of the MCS. It is one of the three main branches and the first largest branch. The Navy is still known as the Spider Fleet and continues to fly the Spider Banner.
The SMSDF was restructured after the Sanpo-Çakar War, and many of its commanders were purged from the war. The navy mostly took part during the Sanpo-Çakar War. One of the largely successful military operations in the history of Sri Pashana and the Beneluccas invasion. Currently, the fleet is on a hunt in the Captive Sea for Confederation of Dispossessed pirates. The SMSDF is provided with competent personnel through the Royal Forces Academy.
