The Sårensby Arsenal, under the control of Keltia Command, was tasked in 1706 AN to resume production of the equipment types for which machine-tools and pattern templates could be recovered. Output for the first year would be anticipated to be low, owing to the retirement and death of those former workers with the requisite skills, the need to impress into service and train their replacements, the degradation of the manufacturing site in the decades since the shuttering of the Allied Production Matrix in 1684 AN and the time and investment that would be needed to restore the formerly vertically integrated supply chain, as well as to source the requisite raw materials and components.
Whilst most articles produced at the outset would be obsolete by the latest standards, the comparatively backward nature of the communities of the Green in northern Keltia negated this somewhat, and it was considered prudent to commence with what was known and available. Once an experienced and capable workforce had been built up at the arsenal, that was capable of supporting the Sårensby Arsenal, then attention could be turned towards modernisation, as well as research and development.
