Royal National Theater of Nouvelle Alexandrie
The Royal National Theater of Nouvelle Alexandrie is the Federation's premier performing arts institution, established in 1696 AN through royal charter from King Manco Cápac and headquartered in the Théâtre Royal complex in Cárdenas. Operating under the auspices of the Department of Education, Sports, and Culture, the theater serves as both a national cultural ambassador and a training ground for New Alexandrian performing artists, presenting classical and contemporary works in Alexandrian, Martino, Wechua, and other regional languages. The institution gained international recognition for its acclaimed productions of traditional Wechua ceremonial dramas and modern interpretations of classical Alexandrian theater, while its educational outreach programs serve over 400,000 students annually across all twelve Regions.
Notable productions include the award-winning adaptation of "La Novia de Santander" for the stage and the groundbreaking trilingual production of "The Founding" commemorating the Proclamation of Punta Santiago, which toured internationally to Natopia, Oportia, and Sanama between 1718 AN and 1720 AN. The theater complex, which underwent major renovations using enhanced acoustics technology in 1742 AN, houses three performance venues with a combined capacity of 4,200 seats and employs over 800 artists, technicians, and administrative staff, making it one of the largest cultural employers in the Federal Capital District.
