Babkhan Orthodox Church of Constancia
The Babkhan Orthodox Church of Constancia, a Zurvan-worshipping denomination in Constancia.
Originally founded as the Presbyterian Church of Constancia a congregational pro-Zurvanite belief system, emphasizing presbyterian supremacy in ecclesiastical matters instead of episcopal-patriarchal infallibility, that emerged from the 1690 schism with the Constancian state religion, the Patriarchal Orthodox Church of the Faith, which had recently adhered towards communion with the Nazarene faith. Following the schism the Presbyterian Church received the patronage of the Khan of Raspur and the House of Osman, with the notable exception of Esmeralda al-Osman who accepted the confessional stance of her husband, the Autokrator of Constancia.
In I.1750 AN, following the Durbar of Raspur, the church was substantially reorganised, with the restoration of the Neo-Babkhan priesthood, and would thereafter be known as the Babkhan Orthodox Church of Constancia. The church would henceforth be headquartered in Mehrshahr.
