The Party of Democratic Humanism is a nationalist humanist party in Sanama, founded in 1721 as a direct reaction to the reemergence of Toshaism in Sanama. The party plans to participate in the 1723 Sanaman general elections, running on an anti-establishment platform. The party accuses the governing coalition, with Qukalsim Kito Paliso, of inaction in the face of unlimited immigration from other Xäiville Convention members and working towards dismantling the military. Furthermore, the party claims that the Agrarian League is unrepresentative of "regular farmers", instead promoting the views and interests of wealthy landowners, while the Sanaman People's Party is accused of being neither Sanaman nor for the people. The party also heavily promotes the view that the Sanaman people is, in fact, two distinct but closely related ethnicities, the Sani and the Ama, and that any party that opposes this view is anti-Humanist. Both governing parties and the main opposition party, the Sanamati Democratic Party, promote the view that there are no major differences and that the two groups form a single Sanaman nation. Even though the party is led by a Babkhi Sanaman, it heavily utilises Sanaman nationalist rhetoric to attract support from the majority population. The Humanist Vanguard is the militia wing of the party, from whence the 9th Vanguard Division derives. Support for the party is growing rapidly, primarily in Amarra and Cisamarra, but also across Sanilla. It is commonly assumed that the party enjoys both financial and military support from the Benacian Union, even though this has not been officially confirmed by either the Benacian Union or the party.
