Pangka Nasyonal Sanamali
The Pangka Nasyonal Sanamali is the central bank of Sanama. The bank was established in 1671 under the name Federal Bank of Sanama shortly after independence. Under the direction of the first government, due to the socialist slant of its policies, it was little more than an arm of the federal executive government. It has lacked a clearly defined role since Sanama has been in a unilateral currency union with Natopia due to the adoption of the Natopian natopo at independence. The restoration of democracy under the Second Republic, and the election of a center-right government, has radically transformed the role and image of the bank. In 1679 it changed name to the Sanaman Pangka Nasyonal Sanamali (National Bank of Sanama), and was given independence to control inflation and reduce unemployment by using the newly established independent monetary policy thanks to the introduction of the Sanaman rilha. The bank is also the issuing authority for the rilha.
