Operation Evergreen
The New Alexandrian intervention in the Kapavian insurgency, also known as "Operation Evergreen", a military operation that was initiated by the Federation of Nouvelle Alexandrie in 1716 AN. The operation is focused on providing support to the Surenid government in their efforts to counter the Kapavian insurgency. The operation was launched with the aim of providing a "light military footprint", according to the Department of Defense of Nouvelle Alexandrie.
The New Alexandrian intervention was launched soon after the rapid deployment of support from Floria to the Surenid government as part of the initial deployments of Raspur Pact support to Suren. The Department of Defense of Nouvelle Alexandrie, with support from the Euran Economic Union, sent 400 military and diplomatic advisers to the region, some of whom were designated as trainers and advisers for the elite units of the Surenid military.
The main focus of Operation Evergreen is to provide support to the Surenid military in several key areas, including intelligence gathering, special operations, training and capacity building, public diplomacy, and civil-military cooperation. The Department of Defense and the Department of State work together to provide comprehensive support to the Surenid military in their efforts to counter the insurgency.
The New Alexandrian intervention received criticism from some quarters, who argue that it represents an unnecessary and costly foreign intervention. However, supporters of the operation argue that it is necessary to maintain stability in the region and to prevent the spread of extremism and violence.
Soon after its participation in Exercise Jungle Knife and the defeat of the Kapavian insurgency on 1717 AN, Operation Evergreen came to a close, with Nouvelle Alexandrie shifting any continued military training and diplomatic support work to the Suren Confederacy through the New Alexandrian embassy in Surenshahrand through the Allied Mission in the Suren Confederacy.
