Northeastern Fence

The Northeastern Fence is a border barrier located on the Constancian side of the Constancian - Green border in northeastern Eura.

Initiated in XIII.1757, its establishment was included in the Constancian Development Plan for 1750-1760. It was also a priority project of the National Service Council. Its estimated cost is 1 billion Imperial Staters.

This is only the first iteration of what is intended to be a multi-barrier fortification.

Characteristics

The initial fence was barbed wire, put in place by the Imperial Constancian Armed Forces, initiated by the end of XIII.1757. The actual Northeastern Fence, similar to the Eastern Fence, is a 7-meter high concrete wall with sensors, video feed, and remote-controlled machine guns.

There is a 1-kilometer buffer zone alongside the Northeastern Fence on the Constancian side, which is raked sand. Watchtowers and bunkers are located in one-kilometer intervals.

It is patrolled by units of the 509th (Surenid) Army, Eastern Eura Army Group.
