Newcastle-Upon-Eastmoor International Airport is the primary international hub airport of Nova England. The airport, forms the civilian sector of the Nova English Royal Air Force’s NERAF Newcastle Air Base and is operated by a joint civilian/military partnership.
Facilities
Within the airport are a number of duty free shops, pubs and smoking rooms. It is connected to Newcastle-Upon-Eastmoor city centre by a regular tram service and hosts a number of taxi and car rental services.
NERAF Newcastle forms the military component of the facilities and is the headquarters of the Nova English Royal Air Force. A number of NERAF Squadrons operate from the airbase which also hosts the NERAF’s training school.
The airport was on the receiving end of several Shirerithian cruise missile attacks during the War of the Casks, mainly targeted at the NERAF portion of the site, but nonetheless post-war repair work and reconstruction was required to bring the civilian terminals back to an operational standard.
