Mateo Alarcón (born 7.XI.1710 AN) is a New Alexandrian jurist and diplomat who has led the Federation's embassy in Constancia since 1760 AN. A native of Santander, he trained in law and specialized in the law of treaties, entering the Department of State as a legal adviser rather than through the ordinary foreign service. Much of his early career was spent drafting and construing the Federation's agreements with its Raspur Pact partners, work that took him repeatedly to Constancia, a fellow member of the Pact and of the Concord Alliance Treaty Organization. He presented his credentials at Petropolis in 1760 AN.
