Kildari Legion

The Kildari Legion was the perhaps optimistic name given to a contingent of 1,628 Kildari exiles, mostly Humanists who had fled the Tegong-led crackdown which followed Operation Jagdbeute, collected from Arboria and brought to the Benacian Union in 1731 AN.

These volunteers, some with prior experience in the Talons of the Archon, were assembled on the island of Wolfraven on 13.V.1731 AN under the supervision of provosts from the General Inspectorate of Benacia Command and instructors from the Golden Order Militia. For their first night on the island they were billeted with native Cimmerians whilst suitable accomodation was arranged, an unsettling experience for all concerned. At this early stage it was unclear whether they were merely to be a propaganda unit in the context of the Shiro-Benacian Cold War, or whether another purpose had been earmarked for them.
