Station Kaamiozyr
Station Kaamiozyr (Elw for "liberty"; airport code: EWSK) was a naval station and small settlement, located on the eastern coast of South Feanoria Island on the equator. Prior to 1690, it was a nominally Chrysean colony ruled feudally by the House of Laegel, with Tarr people, enslaved by former Viceroy Isor Isor from Graecia's communist regime, forming the indentured serfs on the territory. After Chryse's accession to Elluenuueq, the Tarr people were liberated and given civil rights. The colony was extended and brought under the direct rule of Elwynnese central government (i.e. not part of an autonomous country). The population of Kaamiozyr comprised at its height of 264,134 settlers and its supporting garrison of 3,487 personnel until 1692, when it came under the control of the separatist Republic of Tarrland. Following the reconquest of the island the Tarr settler community was reduced by official sanction, leaving the population of Station Kaamiozyr to comprise almost entirely of deployed personnel. The facility initially fell outside the bounds of the Benacian Union and was administered by Keltia Command of the Raspur Pact on behalf of Elluenuueq. Following the independence of Normark and the reorganisation of the overseas territories, the Station fell under the authority of the Benacian Union's Commission for War.
The BUDF garrison was evacuated from the base during the final months of 1716 AN, ahead of the territory passing into the hands of Çakaristan in the following year. Where the territory is known as Tarria.
Garrison
Station Kaamiozyr was, prior to its evacuation, protected by a detachment from the Maritime Support Group (MSG), directly engaged by Keltia Command for the purpose, that is contracted to consist of no less than 2% of the total force of the MSG. A BUDF base was located on the site of the station consists of an anchorage, wharf, landing strip, storage facilities, and hardened shelters, enclosed by an anti-tank ditch, turf wall, and a belt of barbed wire and concrete pillboxes on the landward side. BUDF personnel at the site, who comprised of 0.5% of the Garrison in the Warring Islands Special Autonomous Region, undertook six month tours of duty on detachment from their parent units.
Time zone
Until 35.XV.1704, Kaamiozyr was in the time zone CMT-13, thus crossing over the international date line, and kept Kaamiozyr in the same "date zone" as Elwynn (and the Benacian Union). It was decided, for practicalities with regard to interaction and cooperation with other powers in the Raspur Pact, such as Normark, that the date should be logical. As such, 36.XV.1704 was skipped in Kaamiozyr and from 1.I.1705 and onwards, Kaamiozyr was in the same time zone as its solar location, CMT+12.
