Jakob Pureon is a Barbarian citizen who is a technical manager with Baicha Heavy Vehicle Industries who is most notable for his former position of shangxiao, the brigade leader, of the Cibolan Volunteer Corps. He is the younger brother of Elijah Pureon who introduced him to Chidaoism while the two still lived in Dragonskeep with their parents. Jakob did not share his brother's interest in terror acts, but still saw no other option than to flee Elwynn when his brother was caught trying to set fire to a library. In Jingdao Jakob made a career with the armed forces and worked his way up to become a shangwei, a regimental leader. When he finished his service, he found it hard to accommodate to civil life in Jingdao. He was one of the first recruits of the Cibolan Volunteer Corps and offered the option to lead it as shangxiao and be able to be naturalised into the more free Barbarian Republic. After the Cibolan Reconquista was terminated and the recruits of the Cibolan Volunteer Corps were dismissed and given their promised 2 acres of agricultural land, Jakob Pureon sold his land and moved to Baicha where he found employment with BHVI.
