Ismail Mokhtar Rajun bin Nikhil Sinh is a Dauian politician who currently serves as Daau's 4th President. Mokhtar Rajun is the first ethnic Dalay and a non-Xi family member to hold position as the Eternal Leader of Daau.
Political career
Rajun served in the People's Home Guard as a low-ranking officer before transitioning to politics as he signed up for a tour at the Xi Jan Hoong Political University. Rajun served as Deputy Govenor of Jurong until their eventual demise to The Green during the Dauian Reduction and was voted as the new vice president elect in 1725. Rajun rose to Presidential power in 1740 following Xi Bing Jin's death due to heart complications as Ismail was named as de-facto paramount leader by Xi prior to his surgery. Ismail was ratified as the 4th Dauian President during the 1740 People's National Assembly. He subsequently named Liam Lin as his vice president as Marcus Haye kept his role as premier.
Leadership
Described by many as the perfect foil to the authoritarian Xi Bing Jin, Ismail Mokhtar entered the National Assembly to cradle the failing Dauian markets and continue expanding their foreign trade policy, in an attempt to further open up Daau to intermicronational relations.

Family
Ismail comes from a family of ethnic Dalay and his father Nikhil Sinh Surpreet was a former Dauian footballer and manager who was part of Daau's former footballing dynasty. His mother is also an ethnic Dalay from the southern part of Daau. Ismail married Shaiya Khassim in the summer of 1734.

Football
Mokhtar Rajun is an avid football fan as he would use to skip secondary school tutor lessons to attend school team training sessions and dreamed of becoming a professional football player in Daau one day. Mokhtar and Xi both pioneered the Vision 2025 program for the future of Dauian football as both shared great interests for the sport. Ismail's favored team are the Daau Super League side Seragaan United. He would soon invest in Seragaan United and intensified the ties between the football club and government agencies.
