The Holzborg national football team was the football team which represented the micronation of Holzborg. It was a member of the AEFA.
History
The team was founded in 2007 after Holzborg was granted FMF membership after existing on Micras since before the organisation's founding as Norona. The team competed in that year's World Cup qualifiers, losing to neighbours United Empire 1–0 on aggregate in the first round.
In 2008's qualifiers, the team finished third in their four-team group with three points, ahead of Adraisia by virtue of goals scored.
In the following year's qualifying, the team improved, finishing third in their five-team group with twelve points and missing-out on a place in the play-offs by two points. Holzborg left Micras later in the year. However, the nation returned in early 2010.
Holzborg's fortunes improved in the 2010 qualifiers, as the team finished second in their group with 14 points, advancing to the play-offs. They beat the Torrington Islands 3–0 and Mahoz HaSephardim 4–2, both on aggregate, to qualify for their first World Cup. In the finals, the team finished third in their group, beating 2006 World Cup winners Beaugium for their only points. Holzborg again left Micras in early 2011.
