The Highland elk, also called the Moorland elk, is a species of large deer of the Cervidae family native to the northeastern quarter of Keltia. Originally a small population centered in Nova England, the species was bred for hunting purposes by the Nova English and spread across the highlands. They have now become naturalized over most of Moorland along with parts of Mercury and Ioanna. They eventually became a strong symbol of the highlands and the people there, popularized by hunting lodges in the 1500s. Now a protected species with Moorland, it is recognized as the national animal of that kingdom.
