Goldfield Arsenal
The Goldfield Arsenal is a armaments manufacturing site in the eponymous capital of Ransenar operated for the Board of Ordnance by Amiral in partnership with the Benacian Directorate of the Honourable Company. Authorised in 1730 AN, it declared initial operating capacity commencing from the fifth month of the following year.
Product ranges
Initially devoted to the production of rocket-propelled grenades and man-portable anti-tank weapons, the Arsenal underwent a significant expansion in 1733 AN to support the Board of Ordnance's requirement for standardized heavy calibres across the Benacian Union and Ransenar.
Infantry Support Weapons
- Amiral LRM-1: A shoulder-fired, rocket-propelled grenade launcher designed for anti-armor roles and infantry support. Its versatility and power make it an essential tool for engaging fortified positions and light armored vehicles.
- Pansarskott M1731: Man-portable, single-shot, disposable anti-tank rocket propelled grenade launcher developed by Amiral for production by the Goldfield Arsenal and Elwynn High Tech Engineering. 120,000x ordered by the Board of Ordnance in 1731 AN.
Tank Cannon Systems
The Goldfield Arsenal serves as the primary casting and rifling center for high-velocity tank guns used by the Benacian Union's armored formations.
- GFA-120/M1744 Smoothbore: A 120 mm high-pressure smoothbore gun designed for compatibility with standard Raspur Pact munitions. It features a chrome-lined barrel and a thermal sleeve to prevent warping during high-cadence firing.
- GFA-125/M1734 "Slahands": A 125 mm smoothbore system specifically engineered for use with autoloader mechanisms. Developed in partnership with Amiral, this system is optimized for firing APFSDS (Armour-Piercing Fin-Stabilized Discarding Sabot) rounds, providing the Arsenal's primary contribution to heavy breakthrough tank projects.
Artillery & Indirect Fire
Heavy ordnance production is concentrated in the North-Wing foundries, capable of producing long-range barrels for divisional artillery.
- GA-155/M1752 "Szodan": A 155 mm/52-calibre howitzer system designed for both towed and self-propelled platforms. The "Sovereign" is capable of firing Extended Range Full Bore (ERFB) projectiles and is compatible with precision-guided munitions.
- GFA-155/M1752 Compact: A lightweight variant of the 155 mm system utilising advanced alloys to reduce weight for platforms, without sacrificing the standard 155 mm stopping power.
Ammunition & Components
- Project 120-HE: High-explosive multi-purpose shells for the 120 mm range.
- Project 155-S: Smoke and illumination canisters for 155 mm artillery batteries.
- Propellant Charges: Modular charge systems (MCS) manufactured on-site to reduce logistical footprints for field artillery units.
