Exercise Driftwood
Exercise Driftwood was a military exercise carried out during late 1706 AN by the Confederate States Armed Forces to assess the defensive preparedness of formations garrisoned at Port Farrar and Moss Side in the Florian South.
Background
In 1706 the People's Revolutionary Army of Kildare was placed onto a posture of heightened readiness along the Kildari-Florian border in response to Operation Python being then conducted in the Norfolk Isles.
Considering this to be an implicit threat to Florian security, Apollonia Command organised the undertaking of a series of snap inspections of the formations of the Confederate States Armed Forces garrisoned along the western frontier with Kildare, culminating in a combined arms defensive preparedness drill to be staged around Port Farrar.
Course of the exercise
Aftermath
(To be fleshed out at a later date: concluded without incident, lessons learnt concerning the vulnerability of logistic support chains, importance of prior planning and clear, measurable, and attainable objectives, so on and so forth)
