The ESB 651 "Spectral" is a handheld anomalous phenomena detection device, developed by the Benacian Directorate of the Honourable Company and unveiled in the Sovereign Confederation, a realm of the Benacian Union, during the fifth month of 1728 AN. The inventor of the device, Dr Reginald Younghusband-Kerr of the Benacian Academy, pronounced that the ESB 651 "Spectral" operates on the principle of "magnetic systems of resonance".
