Outer Antya

Outer Antya is a duchy of the Eastern Empire in Shireroth. The name is derived from its location across the river Antya compared to the capital city of Daocheng. The capital city of Outer Antya is Nanminke. In the Treaty of Gaelen's Landing in 1707 the duchy was awarded to Claudius of Nan, whose son Julius of Nan married Elizabeth bat Erasmus in 1733, with the intention of creating a personal union of Outer Antya with Jingdao. The personal union became a fact after the rise of their daughter Simone bat Erasmus to the throne of Jingdao in 1758, to become the Qishou Emperor, and Duke Julius of Nan abdicating his position in favour of his daughter.
The region Outer Antya is known for the black horses that originate there, especially from the former Jingdaoese province of Mengtian, in the east of Outer Antya, where remnants of the Silver Yak Horde settled. These horses have a great significance and riding them is a symbol of prestige, all dukes of Outer Antya ride these horses in their official state portraits.
