Admiral Claude Henri Petain (born 22.VII.1690 AN) is an Oportian naval officer and diplomat who serves as Special Envoy to the Committee of Euran Salvation under the National Salvation Council. Born in Behaurnais, Nouvelle Alexandrie, Petain's family brought him to Oportia at age 16 in 1706 AN. He later distinguished himself during Operation Verdant Reach and later commanded the naval defense of his home port during the Corsair Resurgence. Following the 1744 Oportian coup d'état, Council President Joseph Fouche appointed Petain as the regime's primary diplomatic representative to Mehrshahr.
