Calbion–Order of the Holy Lakes relations
Relations between Calbion and the Order of the Holy Lakes were established in early 1693, initially marked by politeness and cooperation. However, in 1733, the assassination of Prince Deiniol, who was also a senator of the Lakes, led to a significant deterioration in relations, especially as the act appeared to have the support of Calbin's leadership. As of 1740, diplomatic ties remain cold yet formal.
Legolas Isorion Verion has served as the Order's ambassador to Calbion since 1719. He was recalled for consultations in 1733 but retained his formal title. He returned to Calbion in 1737.
Despite the tensions, Calbion continues to categorize the Order of the Holy Lakes as a friendly (cyfeillgar) state. However, citizens of the Order are currently advised to avoid unnecessary travel to Calbion while the Order investigates the murder of Prince-Senator Deiniol. As of 1740, investigation continues to be ongoing, hampered by Calbain bureaucracy and unwillingness to seriously look at the assassination.
