The CATO Commissioner of Peace for Anglien was the senior representative of the Concord Alliance Treaty Organization (CATO) in the Free Duchy of Anglien during the duchy's transitional period. The office was established by the Concord Council in X.1754 AN, the same month the Charter was promulgated, and served as the principal channel through which CATO assistance programs were coordinated, including the Concord Alliance Military Assistance Mission to Anglien, humanitarian reconstruction support, and institutional development programs. The office's mandate concluded with the certification of the constitutional referendum on 23.VII.1759 AN, and the office was wound down over the transition, closing in XV.1759 AN on the certification of the first general election.

Office and officeholder

The last Commissioner was Alejandro Fuentes-Villanueva, a New Alexandrian diplomat selected by the Concord Council on the joint recommendation of Nouvelle Alexandrie and Natopia. The Commissioner held no formal authority over the Anglian government; practical influence derived from control of CATO grant disbursements tied to the Chapter IX governance benchmarks in the Charter. Commissioner Fuentes-Villanueva stepped down when the referendum was certified, as he had committed to do once the constitutional process concluded, and the Concord Council confirmed that the office would not be maintained beyond the transition, the constitutional benchmarks having been met.
