Association Against the Undead

The Association Against the Undead is a political organisation in the Barbarian Republic that was founded in late 1688. The organisation addresses problems with the zombie and lich infestation in southern and western Cibola following the collapse of the lich realms such as the Duchy of Rossheim-Slavonia and the United Principalities of Treisenberg and recently the Grand Duchy of Helderbourgh. The organisation does not participate in elections itself, but campaigns against politicians that do not share the associations views. Internationally, the organisation feels most at home with the Nationalist & Humanist Party, although other than the human supremacy ideal of that organisation, the ideals of the N&HP are not shared by all members of the AAU. Affiliation with the N&H in this instance taking the form of practical cooperation - the training of leadership cadres, information and media resource sharing, and the preparation of vanguard groups capable of coordinating community-level actions against liches, revenants, and other such phenomena.

In XIII.1688 the association started the construction of an academic institute in Zaidin, which is expected to be finished in late 1690. In this institute, the AAU will enable the safe conduction of research into weaknesses in undead specimens found in western and southern Cibola. Knowledge thus acquired will be passed on to academic students of the Ecclesiastical Academy of Pentapolis in Basella, and to officers of the Republican Guard. Additionally, the institute will feature a small museum with exhibitions on the dangers of the undead and a small cafeteria, which is expected to provide extra income for the association through shop sales, cafeteria income and donations.
