The Anglian Media Authority (Crandan: Media-Bestuur fonn Anglien) is the technical regulator of broadcasting, spectrum, and communications infrastructure in the Free Duchy of Anglien. Established under the Ministry of Justice by the Broadcasting and Spectrum Ordinance, one of the twelve foundational statutes adopted by the Diet of Anglien in XI.1754 AN, the Authority issues operating licenses for commercial broadcasters, allocates radio-frequency spectrum, administers the local-content quota attached to commercial licenses, and operates the duchy's voluntary classification scheme for theatrical and broadcast release. Its mandate is deliberately limited: in accordance with Chapter VII of the Charter, the Authority has no power of prior approval over film, broadcast, or print content, and exercises no editorial oversight of the Anglienen Rundfunk, whose independence is governed separately by its founding decree.

The Authority operates from headquarters in the Nieustad of Johannsessbuurg, with approximately 35 staff and a small technical secretariat. The Director-General is appointed by the Minister of Justice for a renewable five-year term; the founding Director-General, Margriet Bouwmeester, took up the post in XII.1754 AN. The Authority's principal regulatory activities since establishment have included the issuing of Angelvisie's commercial broadcasting license in II.1755 AN, the technical licensing of Anglienen Rundfunk transmitter sites, the licensing of small community radio operations in the Purple Isles and the Mala'anje-haven of Johannsessbuurg, and the negotiation in V.1755 AN of the standing protocol with the Truth and Reconciliation Commission on the use of TRCA broadcast archive material.
