Amaren sanpanensis otherwise known as the Love fruit (Sangunese: 愛桜んぼ, translit.: Aicheri?) is an annual shrub with three other related species, growing on the Skerry Isles. It got this name because its fruit is heart-shaped. The flesh is red to pink in color and contains four elongated black seeds. Although it is a species specific to the Skerry Isles, it can grow in all savannah climate zones. Its leaves are purple and are an important tea ingredient, along with anise, for Murasaki tea. Akairau, a kind of drink, is made from its fruits. It is the national fruit of Sanpantul with sour cherry.
