Acqua Munnissima, or simply Munnissima, is a Vegnese bottled water company headquartered in Agropl. Founded in 1703 AN by Marmo Cunno, the company sources its water from natural springs in the Caponord highlands, where glacial filtration through volcanic rock produces water noted for its mineral composition and purity. The company's slogan is «Purissima Munnissima» (Purest Munnissima).
Originally serving the domestic Vegnese market, Munnissima expanded internationally following Vegno's accession to the Concord Alliance Treaty Organization in 1738 AN. The company now exports to Nouvelle Alexandrie, Natopia, and Oportia, where its distinctive tall bottles have become a fixture in upscale restaurants and hotels. In Nouvelle Alexandrie, Munnissima ranks among the top three imported bottled water brands by volume, with particularly strong sales in Alduria, Santander, and the Wechua Nation. The brand has cultivated a premium positioning, marketed as "L'eau d'Apollonie du Nord" (Water of the Northern Apollonia) in Alexandrian-speaking markets.
Munnissima's success in Natopia followed a distribution agreement with SATCo in 1742 AN. The water's low sodium content and naturally occurring minerals appealed to health-conscious Natopian consumers, and the brand established a loyal following in Lindstrom, Dos Gardenias, and Geneva. By 1750 AN, Natopia had become Munnissima's largest export market, accounting for 34% of international sales. In 1743 AN the Cunno family took a 49 percent stake in Chasqui Internacional, an export company formed with the New Alexandrian bottler Embotelladora Chasqui to sell Chasqui drinks in Vegno and Natopia.
Production
Munnissima operates a bottling facility near Agropl at the foot of the Caponord highlands. The source springs, located at an elevation of 1,800 meters, have been protected since 1712 AN under Vegnese environmental law. The water travels through 50 meters of volcanic rock before reaching the collection point, a natural filtration process that takes approximately 15 years. The company bottles approximately 180 million liters annually, with 45% destined for export markets.
Engagement in sport
Marmo Cunno, the company's founder, maintained a strong interest in Vegnese football throughout his life. Munnissima has served as primary sponsor for US Puri Agropl since the 1720s AN and expanded its sponsorship portfolio to include Atletico Mhazar in 1738 AN. The company remains one of the most visible corporate sponsors in the Lega A Vegnese.
