Qualification

Due to the removal of foreign teams from the Intercontinental Hockey League, the berth previously allocated to the best non-Florian team is no longer available. Instead, a qualifying competition will be held between the champions of all completed Tier 3 leagues, with the winner of the competition advancing to the group stage. Teams that fail to advance to the group stage will qualify for the 2022 MHL Cup. If only one team enters, they will automatically advance to the group stage.
