Électricité d'Aldurie-Wechua (ÉdAW) is the premier electric utility company in Nouvelle Alexandrie, playing a pivotal role in the federation's energy infrastructure and policy. With its headquarters in the capital, Cárdenas, ÉdAW stands as the largest public electric utility in Nouvelle Alexandrie.
Overview
Founded in 1690 AN, ÉdAW emerged from the consolidation of several regional power providers to ensure a unified approach to energy management and to meet the growing demands of then-Alduria-Wechua's rapidly expanding economy. Despite Alduria-Wechua being renamed Nouvelle Alexandrie in 1693 AN, the company retained its name. Today, it boasts a diverse generation capacity of over 200 gigawatts, spanning both continents of Eura and Keltia.
Operations
ÉdAW operates an extensive network of power generation facilities, including nuclear, hydroelectric, solar, and wind farms. The company's flagship projects include the Grand Rodinia Hydroelectric Complex, the Nouradin Hydroproject, the Amapola Nuclear Power Complex, and the expansive Solara Solar Power Station, which together contribute a significant portion of the federation's renewable energy output.
