Format for 2019 to 2021
A second division of Super League Football will be created. To accomdate this, the bottom eight teams will be relegated to the new second division and four new franchises will fill the remaining vacant spots. Promotion and relegation will decided as follows:

Promotion/Relegation playoff
The Promotion/Relegation playoff will be played over two legs with the Super League Football 2 Runner-up playing at home first.
