Format for 2019 to 2021
A second division of Super League Football will be created. To accommodate this, the bottom eight teams will be relegated to the new second division and four new franchises will fill the remaining vacant spots. 12 teams will play each other three times. Depending on AEFA coefficients The top four will qualify for an AEFA competition. If one of the teams finishes in the top four and wins either the Florian Cup or Florian League Cup, the AEFA Cup berth will be given to the team who have not already qualified for the competition. The AEFA Cup playoffs have been scrapped. The format is as follows:

The Promotion/Relegation playoff will be played over two legs with the Super League Football 2 Runner-up playing at home first.
