HIS ROYAL MAJESTY August Charles II, By the Grace of God King of Gotzborg, Archduke of Reichlau, Grand Duke of Lucerne, Marshal of the Union of Seven Nations, Lord of the Border Marches, Admiral of the Southern Reaches, Duke & Grand Elector of Jutien, Count Kendal does hereby send greetings;
WHEREAS the micronational world is commonly affected by the changing tides of human participation, attempted and successful coups, inactivity and conflicts;
WHEREAS We wish to protect and provide for the reputation and status of Our Royal Kingdom from the destruction and failure that many others usually experience in times of depressed and reduced activity;
WHEREAS Our Royal Kingdom, being of greatest importance to Us and Our history prior to the introduction of Gotzborg on the Internet;
LET IT BE KNOWN that We of Our especial grace, certain knowledge and mere motion do by these presents declare that Our Royal Kingdom do be placed into hiatus until such time as it is Our wish to return to the micronational world.
AND we do further direct that during this period of hiatus of Our Royal Kingdom that a Lord Protector and Ambassador Plenipotentiary be appointed by Ourselves to serve as guardian and representative of Our Kingdom tasked to protect the history, documentation;
AND that we appoint His Grace Liam, Duke of Montin and Our King's Counsellor to this position to protect the legacy, history and integrity of Our Kingdom in all micronational affairs, with the limitation that he cannot delegate those responsibilities to any other person;
AND that this hiatus shall remain in force until such a time as Our Royal Decree declares otherwise;
AND We do further direct and enjoin that this Royal Decree shall be read and proclaimed in such places as appropriate within the Royal Kingdom of Gotzborg.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF We have caused this Our Royal Decree by the affixation of the Royal Seal of the Kingdom to be published, by witness Ourself at Lonenberg Palace this twenty-second day of April in the eighteenth year of Our reign.
