The Franklin Islands national football team is the football team which represents the micronation of the Franklin Islands. It is a member of the WMFA.
History
The team was founded in 2014 after the Franklin Islands' Micrasian claim was successful. Later in the year, the team entered the inaugural Emerging Nations Cup, where they heavily lost both of their matches and finished fourth.
In their first qualifiers the following year, the team were comfortably beaten in all of their matches as they finished bottom of their four-team group having scored no goals and conceded 49. Later in the year, the team competed in the second Emerging Nations Cup, where they again finished fourth following two defeats.
The 2016 Benacia Cup qualification rounds saw the team lose all eight of their matches as they finished bottom of their five-team group with no points to their name.
