The Second Secretary of State of the Order of the Holy Lakes is a position in the Executive of Hurmu, charged with assisting and seconding the First Secretary of State and presiding over the Secretariat of State in the temporary absence of the First Secretary. In the event of vacancy of the First Secretary, however, the Commander of the Order of the Holy Lakes takes up the reins of government until a new first secretary is elected. The position was established on 16.III.1746.
