A Region (Gerenian: Rînlar) is the largest administrative division in the Republic of Gerenia. Regions are further subdivided into provinces.
Each region is autonomous, ruled by a Regional Governor (Gerenian: Gazartör rînlares). Governors are directly appointed by the President of Gerenia.
The tasks of the Regional Governors include administration and development of the regions as a whole, in coordination with the provincial authorities.
