His Excellency George Middlemore was the Lieutenant Governor of the South Sea Islands. Middlemore was appointed by His Royal Majesty King Josephus I in 1688, and exercises executive power on the islands on behalf of the King. Died in the Southern Scurvy outbreak of 1737.
