The Imperial Democratic Party (IDP) is one of Shireroth's political party. Its ideology is Aldricism. Founded in 1660 by the late Hartmut Aldric, Duke of Calezi, Steward of Shireroth (1663–1667; Regent 1656–1661).
Since the Kalirion Fracture, the IDP survived in Ransenar with the same name, and in Elwynn as the Democratic Party. Of the Aldricist parties, the Shirerithian IDP is considered to be the most conservative. It has played little part in politics on the imperial level since the Kalirion Fracture, which adjourned the Adelsraad and Folksraad (they remain adjourned to this day with no meeting since 1671). Thatwithstanding, Lord Holly-Wythe, the incumbent Steward of Shireroth is a member of the IDP, though he leads a coalition government with the Imperial Order and the Kezan Joint List.
On the local level, the IDP branch in Monty Crisco managed to push for the transfer of sovereignty of most of Monty Crisco from Shireroth to Ransenar. This, however, brought down IDP support in local elections elsewhere in Shireroth.
It is not affiliated in any way with the Imperial Democratic Party of the Florian Republic.
