In 1723 AN the ruins of the island city of Tymaria, the equatorial capital of a fleeting global empire, were occupied by forces from Çakaristan following the claimed shipwreck of a Çakari flagged merchantman offshore from the island. On the basis of this occupation a claim was subsequently registered with the Micras Cartography Society.

Floria, deeming Tymaria to fall within its own territorial waters since the annexation of Port Balaine in 1706 AN, protested the claim and tasked the Norfolk Isles Squadron of the Florian Navy with investigating the scene of the reported shipwrecking incident.
