Panoli (/ˈpanˈɔlɪ/) is one of the most important cities in Vegno, with a population of 65,349 residents. It's located in the Region of Bassovento, of which it is the capital, in the most eastern part of the vegnese territory.
Panoli is one of the main ports on the Strait of Pearls together with Cossa, Murgione and Sancrus, especially for passenger traffic, and is the main economic and demographic centre of the region. Nowadays it is a summer tourist center with several beaches.
Climate
The climate of Panoli is humid temperate and the city lies on the border between Strait of Pearls and more continental regions. Precipitations are regular throughout the year. Winters are very cool (January mean temp. -1 °C or 30 °F), with frequent rain and fog. Temperatures can reach −15 °C (5 °F) or even lower values outside the city centre during the most intense cold waves. Snow is not unusual with air masses coming from Northern Sea or Keltia, and can be heavy at times, especially in the hills surrounding the city centre. Summers are usually warm and humid (July mean temp. 18 °C or 64 °F). Highs sometimes can reach values around 25 °C (77 °F), especially if the wind is blowing from the south or from the west. Thunderstorms are quite common, particularly in August and September, and can be intense with occasional flash floods, damaging winds and even large hail. Spring and autumn are both seasons with changeable weather, but generally mild.

Transports
Panoli is mainly reachable with the Autostrade of Vegno, the principle highway system in Vegno, reached by the A3 "Autostrada del Mare". Also railway is one of the main options, with the line Cossa-Villamagna the actual only line to reach the city from other regions; it's already planned the construction of a new direct line from Agropl and an airport.
Shipping is also widely used, especially by tourists, through the only vegnese shipping company currently available: the North Star Cruises.

Football
Football is clearly the most important sport in Panoli, having 4 official football teams in the Federazione Calcistica del Vegno, one of them in the Lega A Vegnese, the maximum level of football in Vegno:
Arena Solemio is the stadium of both AC Panoli and Unione Panolese, and is one of the biggest stadium in Vegno, with 31,000 seats.
