Shahril bin Ishac Hussin is a Dauian professional football player who is currently a free agent. Shahril is also a member of the Daau national football team and captains the senior side.

Club career

Starting out with local club Sadah FC's youth setup, Shahril soon signed for Dauian Lower League side Warriors SC in the summer of 2007 with a youth team contract. Shahril broke into the senior side a few seasons later and amassed a total of 32 appearances with the Lower League side. His talent and potential was soon discovered by Daau Premier League side Seragaan FC and was signed on a free transfer on July of 2010, the 22 year old would slot into the club's defensive midfield role to sweep and clear balls away from his own final third. His ability to spot attacking runs and incoming danger was praised by coaches alike and was named Player of The Year for the 2010-11 season. Shahril continued his career with the club, extending for one season and won promotion to the Daau Top League following the club winning the league. However Shahril was not retained by the club, citing financial concerns and player issues. He took a 2-year-long break from professional football and would move to Mataba in late 2012.

Shahril signed with Matabese Division leaders Sultan FC in the summer of 2014, ending his 2 year hiatus from football. During his time at the Royals however, Shahril was deployed as a center attacking midfielder, allowing him to break into the opposition half more frequently and lead to more chances and goals scored from the midfielder. He would then join Pulau Pahmer United on an undisclosed fee and soon returned to Daau in 2015 for the newly promoted MKHFC. Shahril quickly became a mainstay at the club, playing as a deep-lying-playmaker role in defensive midfield and pushing up as a volante if needed. His time with the semi-professional Greeners came to a close in the summer of 2018 as he returned to the Matabese Division with Selokan Chiefs for two seasons before terminating his contract due to payment issues.

Shahril's contract with Bintang Lukana was his professional contract following his journeyman career of clubs between Daau and Mataba. He signed with Bintang on a one year contract. At Bintang he was finally deployed in his favoured center back role and managed to score 4 goals off corners during the 2020-21 season. He would join fellow Daau Super League club Jurong West on a free and was named as captain due to his leadership qualities. Known for his long shots and power header during his time at the club, he helped the club retain a spot in the Super League in the 2021-22 season. Following the switch to Semkang FC, Shahril soon was released by the club as he was told he was no longer needed by the new management board and was officially released on the 1st of July 2023, having not played a single game under Semkang FC.
