Companion of the Holy Lakes

Esquire of the Holy Lakes (Hurmu Norse: Ryss helgo sjooa; RHS) is the title reserved for non-gendered or non-binary members of the Order of the Holy Lakes. Its male equivalent is Knight of the Holy Lakes, and its female equivalent is Lady of the Holy Lakes. Esquire has traditionally been a male (though not in Hurmu Norse, where ryss takes the neuter gender) title and a petition has been circulated amongst the members of the order (probably by Humanists) to have this "absurd and redundant provision" deleted.

Currently, no member of the Order of the Holy Lakes use this title. The safir ažaraw, female-presenting individuals with both male and female sexual characteristics, Miłarna Tarin and Miłarna Seoni, use the title Lady of the Holy Lakes, as they are female-presenting.
