Erlgau, the Cibolan-Saxon name, which can be translated into Istvanistani as: Shire of the Goburin is a nation of mythological creatures called Goburin on a secret location on Micras. The nation is quite ancient, it was first recorded in 1617 when the Apollonian Republic seceded from Shireroth and the autonomy of the three islands they inhabited at the time was respected by the new government, but probably existed long before that. After the reunification of Shireroth, the Goburin became suspicious of the humanist sympathies that many in Shirerithian society seemed to have. In the early 1710's, the Goburin secretly moved out of their former homeland into a new location.
The goburin are known for having an obsession with the accumulation of precious metals and precious stones, which they mine in hazardous and narrow mine shafts deep below the surface of Micras. Most of what they gather is paid to the Erlkönig as tax.
