Llywelyn Jack Charles Sherrinford de Montfort better known as Llywelyn, Prince of Pentyre was the first-born son and heir-apparent of Prince Arthur III of Calbion. Known as a playboy, he passed away in an apparent terrorist attack when a plane in which he was travelling was blown up over the Great Western Sea.

Life

Born in 1671 when his father was the heir-apparent for Prince Jack II, Llywelyn was a difficult child who was educated on several boarding schools abroad. He read military history and Calbic languages at the Princely University of Pentyre, which he both did not finish. In 1692 he left to Cimmeria to study Political Science at Lewisheim College. During this time, it is rumoured that he joined the Calbain forces in the Second Elwynnese Civil War against the Benacians. Here, he allegedly witnessed the destruction of Eliria by nuclear weapons, an event that scarred him greatly. During his lateryears, with no feasible outlook on inheriting the throne of Calbion any time soon, Prince Llywelyn was known as a playboy with an excessive lifestyle. During this time, he developed a dependency on alcoholism.

Death and Investigation

On II. Yulmis 1712, Llywelyn returned home from a holiday in the colonies by means of a small 6-person private plane. While flying over the Great Western Sea, the plane disappeared from the radar. The plane had crashed into the sea, a mere 12 miles from the coast of the Ynys Herydd. Subsequent investigation into the remnants of the plane showed that it was likely that a small bomb had been hidden on board. A group known as Gwarcheidwaid y Genedl Bur, or the "Guardians of the Pure Nation" claimed responsibility for the attack stating that "the character of the Prince of Pentyre made him unfit to ever be the guiding light of the Calbain people". Following the attack, the fledgling nationalist government of Cadwaladr Bevan-Hall suspended the Cynulliad Cenedlaethol and declared a state of emergency.
