G.A.I.N. Projects
The G.A.I.N. Projects, or Greater Apollonian Infrastructural/Industrial National Projects, are a series of large-scale projects in Jingdao. The name refers to megastructures which were built (or heavily subsidised) by the Empire's authorities, as the Alashuizamen Sluices or - to a lesser degree - the National Redoubt Defence Program. They are seen as pinnacles of modern architecture and representatives of the great things Jingdaoese have achieved. Due to the enormous propaganda value, they very expensive and cost-consuming.
They are seen as an important tool to raise the moral of the Empire and its development effectively lowers unemployment for a certain period of time. Early examples of G.A.I.N Projects within Jingdao - but which precede the Great Jing - were large scale projects, like the Zygus Qamil and the restoration and expansion of the Temple of Ryvenna.
